The Chicago Radiological Society (CRS) will be soliciting abstracts for the 2019 Resident Scientific Poster Session, which will be conducted from 4:30 – 6:00pm during the CRS Meeting, Thursday, January 17, 2019, Room 500, Searle Conference Center, Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, IL.  Winners will present their work electronically during the dinner portion of the meeting, which begins at 6:30pm.

Abstracts must be submitted online, and may have been presented previously. Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Oncology topics are welcome.

The purpose of the Resident Scientific Poster Session is to promote the inter-institutional exchange of information, and provide an opportunity for residents to fulfill the scholarly activity requirement of their residency programs.

2018-2019 Lasky Foundation Breast Cancer Fund Resident Award

The Chicago Radiological Society (CRS) will confer for the Lasky Foundation Breast Cancer Fund Resident Award. This award is sponsored by the estate of Harold J. Lasky, MD (1922-2009), a former President of the CRS who played a pivotal role in developing the national quality assurance program that resulted in the Mammography Quality Standardization Act (MQSA) of 1994. This award is a cash prize given to a resident or fellow for a meritorious project on the subject of breast cancer diagnosis, prevention or treatment that is presented at the CRS Resident Scientific Poster Session on Thursday, January 18, 2018. No additional application beyond submitting the abstract for the Poster Session is necessary. The winner will be announced at the CRS meeting following the Poster Session.

2018-2019 Steven M. Pinsky MD Resident Research Award

Awards given will include the Steven M. Pinsky MD Resident Research Awards, a series of cash prizes awarded to a radiology or radiation oncology residents or fellows for an outstanding research poster presented at the CRS Meeting. The purpose of the award is to encourage radiology and radiation oncology members-in-training to do research; to enhance the academic careers of radiology residents; and to promote the inter-institutional exchange of information.  Pinsky categories will include Neuro and Body.
