We are planning to hold our meetings as live events, but with virtual availability. In addition, as the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, we will evaluate a return to entirely virtual meetings, if that is deemed most prudent. In either case, we will continue to offer quality education content to our CRS members, as well as to the entire Illinois Radiological Society.
Our first annual meeting will be held on October 14, 2021. As always, we have an innovative and deep educational program this season, organized by the committee Program Chairs for Diagnostic Radiology and Radiation Oncology. Please watch for future emails regarding further content and instructions regarding virtual access.
As the local chapter of the Illinois Radiological Society, under the larger umbrella of the American College of Radiology, the Chicago Radiological Society remains your most efficient and effective means for sharing ideas as well as advocating for both the profession of radiology and our patients’ access to optimal radiology services. The landscape and horizon of Radiology remain exciting, but with challenges ahead. Our advocacy efforts will always be most successful when we have participation and investment from a broad spectrum of our membership. If you have ideas regarding our profession that you believe merit further discussion, either on a local level or at the level of the American College of Radiology, I encourage you to reach out to me or any of the Executive Board members.
Along similar lines, I want to encourage all of us to become more engaged with the Chicago Radiological Society; in fact, please consider serving on a committee. Our committees span multiple interests and goals, from technology to diversity and inclusion. Individuals interested in serving on a committee should contact the society e-mail address: email@example.com.
Along with the Illinois Radiological Society, CRS is looking forward to sponsoring the 6th annual Chicagoland Radiology Expo for medical students, held this year on November 6th. This is open to medical students from the Midwest and across the United States. If you are interested in participating please contact Dr. Bojan Petrovic at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you to all of our members for supporting our efforts. I look forward to a productive and interesting year, and I hope that you attend our meetings, live or virtually. Please follow us on Twitter (@ChiRadSoc) or Instagram at chiradsoc.
