The CRS has a long-standing tradition dating from its founding in 1913, and has the distinguished honor of being the oldest, continuously active radiological society in the United States. The CRS is comprised of physicians and other medical professionals who specialize in the use of radiation for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, and serves as the local division of the American College of Radiology and Illinois Radiological Society.
